Down the coast for the first week of October, I managed to get some adequate pics of a couple of species of tiny flocking birds which are reportedly common enough but weren't previously known to me from my 50 years visiting the area, nor elsewhere.
Grey-breasted Silvereye (Zosterops lateralis) an omnivorous insect eater which can cross Bass Strait seasonally.
Red-browed Finch (Neochmia temporalis) seed eating communal nest builder in dense scrub and aviary bird.
