Eddie ready for a move?

As much as it never ceases to surprise some of the more pretentious of my associates, footy remains a valued part of my life. So I didn't think twice about blowing the discount airfare, a couple of cheap enough Formule 1 nights and associated costs being one of the "record low" AFL finals crowd at the Olympic stadium and a self-indulgent, though budget-aware, fun couple of days around Sinny.

Yet I would not have bothered mentioning it had I not stumbled across an opinion piece which said exactly what I would have said if I'd bothered, so read the linked item if you want my thoughts.

It seems Eddie McGuire is as happy as I am to be back home in Melbourne after a couple of years working in Sydney, but when the time comes for him to move on from his role at Carringbush we can only hope it is to somewhere his insight can be allowed to have even more effect.
