Sounds pretty sensible to me. In terms of mass advertising & referring to "League" which is what NSW mostly thinks of as "footy", I think the AFL should try to not sound as ambitious as it likely is, use the term Aussie Rules rather than AFL, emphasise that other states have their own leagues etc, why should NSW miss out, doesn't mean you can't still beat Qld at Rugby League as different body type etc, wouldn't it be great if we could one day beat Victoria in an Aussie Rules State of Origin, who else can do that?
