I voted below the line and chose my own order. More publicity needs to be made about this phenomenon. Very few people ralise where their votes go in the distribution. Maybe the election of a Family First cadidate to the Senate will wake up a few people. I was pleased to hear a woman on the ABC this morning making some noise about this system of above and below the line. Anybody who trusts their party to distribute preferences on Senate candidates or does not read the ticket prior to voting is foolish. |
