At time of posting. an 87 frame animation has been completed which is intended to be added to as the run reaches 900,000 and eventually a million iterations of the Whoa seed.

The purpose of this particular animation is to highlight many diverse mechanisms by which emergent structure accelerates the spread of otherwise slow-growing chaotic core under Generations 345/3/6, the synergy between deterministic chaos and emergent order.

The big animation linked below relies on the 48:1 compression used widely here for representing large patterns, with frames from each 10,000th iteration shown at 1.5 second intervals. The frames are 4224x2376 pixels including a lot of white space. Compression to fit a browser window on my MacBook was acceptable.

Most significantly, the animation follows the alignment of ships and engines moving S at 1 cell per 2 iterations, keeping the S-most point of the pattern at bottom centre. This makes the true centre move from far S to N and out of frame by the 23rd. Likewise, the diverse patches of growing chaotic core which emerge across the tracks and trails are actually stationary within the cellular automata while they are made to appear to be retreating N.
Central region of 87th frame showing henceforth dominant Rugby deltification starting to settle
This image from iteration 870,000 shows my reason for confidence that the run further S has become reasonably predictable, especially across the 2nd to 13th leading S-bound tracks and trails shown, the last and shrinking possibility for novel interaction is confined to a single shifter on the W-most block trail which is being steadily overtaken by the first sparse rakes of the Rugby flank. (While possible scenarios can never be exhaustively tested, it has been found in other patterns that reblocked first mover tracks overtaken by Rugby formations are typically captured rather than entering one of the theoretically possible disruptive modes.)

There is much less reason for confidence that the look-ahead method used might not have missed some further developments around the tracks and trails further E, but there is no known way that anything there could have spread its influence to the central area within the tracked frame, so that possibility is left open for anybody with the million dollars that are probably needed to fully track the full evolution of the Whoa seed (or various other viable seeds) across a million iterations.
